The SECULIFE UP ultrasound power meter was

This compact, lightweight instrument fulfills all of
the requirements of a portable test instrument with
the reliability and the time-tested performance of the
SECULIFE-U series. The SECULIFE UP make use of
a test tank which is 2.7 cm in diameter and 8.9 cm
high.
The most reliable and reproducible method for
measuring ultrasonic energy is the acoustic radiation
force process. The transducer under test is centered
above a 45° cone target with air bearing in degasified water. Coupling is established to a precision
scale with measuring accuracy of ±0.15 W.
When acoustic energy acts upon the cone, the
resultant force is directly proportional to total radiated
power. The test tank is lined with sound-absorbing
rubber to prevent the reflection of sound. The scale
is programmed such that it converts forces within the
milligram range directly into results in watts with high
resolution.
